Predicting future four character packs

Asmodee have just announced two new four character packs which combine most of the existing Guardians of the Galaxy characters into two packs: the Affiliation pack with Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot and Cosmic Ghost Rider. The last one may seem odd at first but he and Star-Lord were single model packs and they combine to bring all the affiliated TTCs with them. The other pack is the "Galaxy's Deadliest" character pack with Nebula, Gamora, Drax and Ronan. This simply joins their packs into one bigger one. Why does Asmodee (I'm sure it's them and not AMG themselves) do this? Because it uses store space more efficiently but more than anything else: to have the translated versions of the characters out. Now I'm not so sure about Spain and France but I can say that the competitive scene (all 10 of us 🙈😫) in Germany and Austria couldn't care less about German translations but that having everything translated into your native language is important for more casual p...

Affiliation Overview: Thralls of Dracula (updated)

Why should you play the affiliation  Because Dracula is an awesome character and having your entire roster be his vampiric slaves is pretty awesome. You could go all out with it and even convert and paint them like vamps but that's maybe a bit of a high ask . How to start the affiliation  You buy the absolutely awesome Monsters Unleashed pack which comes with Dracula and his leadership TTC as well as “unaffiliated” Werewolf by Night, N’Kantu and Frankenstein’s Monster. Unaffiliated is in quotation marks here because this is the fourth of four “everyone is in” affiliations. Dracula is the only actually affiliated character so everything else is up to you. You’ll probably want to look at characters able to hand out Bleed though. What leaderships are available and what is the typical game plan?  Bloodlust is a very thematic leadership. Dracula has turned your team into Vampires and they gain the vampiric ability to turn Bleeds on your opponents models into a heal for ...

Affiliation Overview: Spider-Foes (updated)

Why should you play the affiliation  Are you a somewhat of a scientist yourself? Do you like crushing arachnids? Do you love making overly complicated plans and see them ruined by a teenager?  Spider-Foes are a super fun faction, which boosts the best looking line of miniatures in the game and a very fun and unique play style with tricks and traps.  How to start the affiliation  Update : from October 2025 AMG releases new single Person starter sets. One of them is the Spider-Foes starter set:  Aside from the ten characters it also contains ten dice and the measuring tools. The X-Men starter (which is a Brotherhood of Mutants starter at the same time) is a permanent addition to the line up, whereas the Spider-Foes one will only he sold for a limited time. Until the starter set releases, which will be the ideal starting point for Spider-Foes, if you want to start the affiliation you should own the earth’s mightiest core set for Doc Ock 2 who is one of your ...

Affiliation Overview: SHIELD (updated)

Why should you play the affiliation  Playing as (mostly) just ordinary people with guns when on the other side of the table you have actual gods, giants monsters and aliens has a certain appeal.  SHIELD can also be played as kind of a "big brain" affiliation, rewarding you for putting in a lot of practice with it no know all it's little tricks by heart.  How to start the affiliation  You should start with the earth’s mightiest core set or the classic core set (or Avengers affiliation pack if you can’t find a copy of core 1) and add Nick Fury Jr. to it as the absolute minimum. Fury gives you almost all the SHIELD cards and is one of your leaders and an absolute core piece to the affiliation regardless if he is the leader or not. Namor and Black Panther, Chosen of Bast (unaffiliated) should also be pretty high up on your buying list as well as Nick Fury SR. and the Howling Commandos. Grabbing Hawkeye and Black Widow, Agent of SHIELD can be a good pick up, even i...
