Just a fun little prediction article today where I try and guess the Affiliations for the characters we know are coming in 2026. And I'll also include my predictions for the full list of Mighty Avengers, X-Factor and Thunderbolts at the end. I'll also give my personal hype level for each new character.
If I mark something in red, it means that this is something that was basically confirmed by AMG staff or the Asmodee store site. So it's not my fault if it ends up not being true 😁
And to make it clear again: I don't have any inside knowledge about this stuff I just take educated guesses here. But it's going to be fun to check back with this article over the coming year.
Coming out in January Blue Marvel and Spectrum, who will be the leader, introduce the new Mighty Avengers affiliation. So they'll both be affiliated there and Blue Marvel is also going to be a Defender.
The pack that introduces X-Factor as a new Mutant affiliation is definitely another one of my most anticipated.

My personal hype level for these two is pretty low to be honest as I don't really know much about them. Blue Marvel I've actually never seen in any comic and Monica I know a lot more from the MCU than the comics. Gonna be interesting to see if their cards can make up for it.

Blue Marvel:

Spectrum:

Personal Hype Level: C (new leaderships are always interesting)
Iron Lad is a character whose existence I was not really aware of. His card looks very good and he's going to be staple in his Affiliations I think.
Affiliations: Young Avengers
Hype Level: B for his stat card, C- for the character
Iron Monger is an amazing sculpt, with a great stat card for a character I don't care much about in the comics once again.
Affiliations: Criminal Syndicate, Cabal (both basically confirmed by Shick)
Hype Level: A (B+ for playing, A+ for building and painting this awesome mini, C- for the character)
Pepper Pots comes with head options (I will very likely choose the helmeted version) and has a really unique suite of abilities. She's going to be very interesting on the board.
Affiliations: A-Force, Avengers, maybe SHIELD?
Hype Level: C+. Not really into healers personally but I will try it and maybe fall in love with her after all.
Kang's mini looks fantastic and he is confirmed to have options in terms of the mini and a Cabal Leadership in terms of his card.

Hype Level: A. I'm really looking forward to a new Cabal Leadership as I really like the faction in theory but never came to terms with any of the other leaders so far...
Adams card doesn't scream 7 threat at first view but I'm ultra committed to play 10 games with his leadership and will pick him up the second he's available for me. His sculpt is also amazing.
Affiliations: Guardians of the Galaxy (card leadership)
Hype Level: S+
My favorite lesbian power couple Moondragon and Quasar come in Adams box and since they are both members of the original Abnett and Lanning Guardians of the Galaxy it's safe to say I would've picked up their box even if it didn't include Adam Warlock and a new Leadership on it's release day (at my German seller which might be later than the set release date...).

New Asgardians will always have my attention since even with my 30 Guardians Games this year Asgard is still my most overall played team and has a dear spot in my heart. The Warriors Three are something we've been expecting for a long time and a mounted Valkyrie was surely a surprising but awesome inclusion. We've seen Valks card and she looks like a tonne of fun to play. Midnight Sons will really like her.

I've seen X-Men 97. I read the Fall of Krakoa (couldn't get to it from start to back, it's just way to many comics). Bastion is the main villain of the former, Nimrod and Omega Sentinel together with MODOK and Orchid in the latter. These are awesome. Also look at those sculpts and Omega Sentinel even has built options.

I'm obviously excited for new crisis cards but this is solely about the Prime Sentinels that come along those. These are confirmed to be lower threat and have the same "can be taken twice" rule as the MK4s.

Since I haven't played the Marvel vs. Capcom fighting games I don't really know who Onslaught is. I've learned he's some sort of mind fusioned Magneto and Charles Xavier and is one of the end bosses in the fighting game. His mini is also supposed to be absolutely massive.
