With some time to relax and digest the disappointment of this presentation and AMG seeming extremely confused with the timing of everything let's get through the little we got piece by piece:
A good set of Heroes for the Attack of the Sentinels, with Rogue being the stand out improvement in terms of sculpt, Gambit being a downgrade, Cyclops fine and Wolverine an upgrade. Seeing as they are all of course also Snap Fit (F.A.S.T) they are pretty impressive once again.
They fight against these Prime Sentinels, a new "mini MK4" and one bigger one as the main boss.
I think it's pretty save to assume that we will get about one Alliances box per Quarter now
Cap and Hawkeye were already teased in the original trailer so they are no surprises and Iron Man (once again not the star of the pack here in terms of sculpts for my taste) and Black Widow are logical inclusions. It's gonna be interesting which stat cards for their regular MCP versions will be included. As both Black Widow and Steve Rogers have three and Iron Man has two variants in the game.
Three Kangs! Sadly it looks like only the center one has the 50mm base you need to use him as an alt sculpt for regular MCP and while cool looking for me the one we got is the better looking one.
Absolutely no new information on 3/4s of this pack but in previous roadmaps it was announced that they will introduce X-Factor to the game and have two leaders in Havok and Multiple Man.
On first look I honestly wasn't too impressed with Jubilation Lee (that's a very Inhumans name honestly 😄). But on second read, and coincidentally what Shick said worked well in Play Test, is her guarding a back secure, firing Gainers and providing rerolls through that gained power. Wolverine! Is a fun and thematic superpower but personally I don't think having a Logan with her is super important to her doing her job. None of the three really wants to stay back with her.
She can also hold an extract in a pinch which makes her overall probably the 2 threat of Choice for X-Men. It's going to be interesting where else she'll end up being affiliated. New Mutants and X-Factor seem to be the likely candidates for me. In theory she should also be in Thralls of Dracula but of course you don't need any affiliated models there.
These were not all shown in the stream but popped up on the interwebs afterwards. (All up on Jarvis Protocol already, too)
Bastion:
Bastion being a 4 threat is definitely a surprise but a welcome one.
As previously announced he is the second leader for the Sentinels and his leadership is very cool and thematic. Completely canceled by the Bonded Soul Gem so better have Sentinel Prime MK4 in your roster as well when you face Guardians with Adam Warlock.
Aside from his leadership Bastion brings a pretty fantastic kit to the Affiliation as well. He has a good Builder, very expensive but also very potent Beam Spender, both with the potential to deny the defender the removal of damage from itself for the rest of the Activation Phase, reactive Root, additional Power in the Power Phase, innate damage reduction and most importantly a range 2 teleport for himself or (which is even more important) allied characters. And it is not limited to once per turn!
Bastion looks very very good on first view and I think you'll rarely see Sentinels squads without him, regardless of him being the leader or not.
A.
Nimrod
Nimrod is by far the most impressive miniature of the wave (which looks great in its entirety to be sure) but is he good enough to warrant putting him on the table every game? He has tough competition with Prime and Cassandra Nova but probably takes either in terms of pure survivability. His offense output also looks very good but he kinda doesn't do anything else... And funnily enough his biggest counter is probably Bastion.
I think Nimrod is a 5 you can easily stick on flank by himself and expect him to hold his own against multiple enemy characters.
Nothing fancy but effective.
A-.
Omega Sentinel
Omega Sentinel brings something completely new to the Affiliation which is Speed. Long Move combined with charge and range 3 on both of her attacks gives her a giant threat range. Her attacks aren't super impressive but she is super adaptable and helps with Pay to Flips.
A-.
Prime Sentinels (there must've been a better option for a name for Marvel...)
They have very cool interactions with Root, and decent attacks for 3 threats. Very good for squad building and if you don't want to get invited to play night ever again bring a Squad led by Bastion, both of these avd Loki 1.

Overall Sentinels look very very good after the releases and we haven't even seen any TTCs yet.
Two new crisis cards shown off, both at 16 threat, which is probably the biggest surprise. It's nice to see that the pack has one each threat level represented exactly once per Secure and Extract. Depending on how the rotation will look in the end, that could mean more variety overall.
Assault Ships Make Sweeping Search (which I expect to be called Ships by the community) looks pretty interesting. Four secures all relatively close to the midline and rewarding for attacking, while being low threat sounds very favored for attrition teams on first view.
Surprise Assault! Mutant Homes Destroyed (Surprise Assault) is the second Source Extract in the pack and much much closer to the midline than Jailbreak. This is extremely brawly once again.
This gives two more good options for type 3 and 4 rosters which currently seem favoured in the rotation anyway. It's going to be interesting which of the current crisis cards will stay in the Challenger rotation.
Shick mentioned the confusion he himself caused when he originally gave us the hint that: "He is called Leader for a reason" and than at the Ministravaganza 25 revealed that Red Hulk would have a leadership. The answer is both which is of course the best possible outcome for us as players. As expected Red Hulk (who can be built with a mustache) introduces the Thunderbolts. Will reminded us that MCP is not the 616 so they do take some creative (and balance) freedom with the Affiliation list but that most of the characters you'd expect to be there will be there.
Which is going to be interesting for Leaders new Affiliation Intelligencia as from my research that could include him, MODOK, Klaw and maybe Mr. Sinister.
Onslaught comes with his own new Affiliation as well which is a new information. Not really sure who could be affiliated. Maybe Xavier but as far as I know Onslaught should have Charles Xavier as his alter Ego? I'm absolutely no expert on him though.
The first picture of a painted Blackheart and he does look very cool. The pack is going to "reinforce existing affiliations" my guess is Cabal and Criminal Syndicate. In theory Blackheart could be in Legion of the Lost with his dad but of course he wouldn't gain anything from that.
Hulking will be a Young Avenger as he should.
Nothing we didn't already know was coming but of course the Starter Sets are absolutely awesome and the re releases are at least helpful. They are heavily delayed though as is basically true for everything.
The big big letdown. AMG has in fact not learned from past mistakes and announces the Updates, which we already know some details about are coming at an unspecified date in June. They have the Legion Update in April with a Stream so we can least hope that will be true for MCP as well.
This is confusing as hell... The starter sets were announced at Gama, and in the very Road Map just a few slides before as Q2 2026 (August to be precise) but here they are listed for Q2 27! We have absolutely no idea which is true now. Also weirdly the other half of the announced Young Avengers, Patriot (who should probably be the leader), Kate Bishop and America Chavez are missing completely.
Overall the MCP part of the Road Map presentation can't be described as anything else but a huge letdown. It is understandable with the state of the world and all the delays we already have that they don't want to show off even more minis we won't be able to buy until late in 2027 but not having a date for the new Crisis Pack and delaying the Updates they always told us to "wait for Adepticon and it will make more sense" leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
Seeing as Legion is getting huge support, a giant mass of new releases, the earliest Balance Update of the three games and was the last game in the Road Map it appears it's clear that Asmodee has made it priority number one for AMG.
Cheers from Germany 🍻
