April 25 Affiliation stats

Welcome to the April Stats post.

As always we divide the stats by All Events (AE) and Rated Singels (RSE), starting with AE:

Servants of the Apocalypse post giant numbers both in games played and won rate.

March: 2nd. +1

While having been played only about a third of the times as Apoc, Wakanda has had similar numbers with classic Black Panther really making a splash in April.

March: 1st. -1

Quietly the Wizards of the Convocation await the announced big changes to Clea (no details yet just that it's a big update) but post top 3 numbers anyway.

March: 6th. +3

Inhumans have become super popular (beating out the Web Warriors in games played!) and extremely successful, with classic Black Bolt still being the defacto leader but Maximus and Medusa both posting top tier results, too.

March: 8th. +4

They do have less games than Inhumans but the Web Warriors are still close to the 500 games mark and did overwhelmingly well in them.

March: 5. Same

Nick Fury makes quite the Comeback for SHIELD, especially in games played and with Namor posting top tier numbers again the Affiliation just barely misses the top 5.

March: 3rd. -3

After Mike DeLuca proved A-Force can work at the highest competitive level they have regained some popularity and had good numbers in April.

March: 23rd. +16

Criminal Syndicate beat out even the Servants in games played. Might it have something to do with DeLuca mentioning several times that Kingpin is really strong in the new rotation? Maybe. Shadowland Daredevil had a Blast, too though and Klaw saw a lot of success in his limited games. Only MODOK struggles.

March: 4th. -4

Some people have forgotten to mark their Weapon X leaders as the Affiliation stats are better than the individual leaders. And I don't see a lot of reasons to go leaderless here.

March: 7th. -2

Thralls of Dracula make a surprise appearance in the top 10.

March: 20th. +10

Hydra just misses the top 10 with a perfectly even score.

March: 16th. +5

Led by their best affiliated model (Thor 1) Asgard is pretty much back on track. Once again with three good available leaders I highly doubt people actually played leaderless so the data isn't especially accurate here.

March: 18th. +6

Dark Dimension almost reaches 100 games which is probably the biggest surprise here.

March:

Scratching on the 900 games mark Avengers were the most popular affiliation of the month by quite a margin. First Avenger (who I personally have my worst overall record against) drags the affiliation down to 50% overall, while classic Steve alone has more games than almost all of the affiliations have overall.

March: 10th. -4

It remains the same story for the Midnight Sons: high play rate, good numbers for Blade and rather bad ones for Elsa (who is a fun character to play on the table anyway).

March: 13th. -2

Doc Ock has taken over again as the more successful leader for the Spider-Foes

March: 17th. +1

Brotherhood appears to like the new rotation better than expected. They still don't post great numbers but get closer to the 50% mark again.

March: 15th. -2

For the Defenders it's once again Doctor Strange who drags the affiliation down. It's going to be interesting to see if he will be touched for his Affiliation Pack re release.

March: 14th. -4

Legion of the Lost is still searching for the right set up in the new rotation as it seems, but did move up a bit in the standings anyway.

March: 25th. +6

Guardians of the Galaxy, my personal main competitive affiliation (yes because of Nova) were extremely popular but pretty far off from the 50% mark in April.

March: 12th. -8

Dragged down by OG Red Skull and Sin and with an untypical below 50% month for Master of the World, Cabal finds it self pretty far down the ladder despite a good month from Malekith.

March: 19th.

X-Men make the top 3 in games played but none of their three leaders had a good month.

March: 11th. -11

Hellfire Club remains very unpopular after it's changes and also not especially successful.

March: 21st. -2

X-Force sees no light it seems. Win rate remains low and even the play rate drops.

March: 22nd. -2

Winter Guard are tied for last in games played (for actual affiliations) in April and are pretty far from going 50/50 in them.

March: 24th. -1

New Mutants get fairly close to 100 games played but fail to reach even 40% win rate.

March: 26th. Same.

Sentinels tie Winter Guard for the least games played but are even father away from the 50% mark. I think there's little point in playing them now, when we know they'll get updated and more than double their number of affiliated models in Q1 2026.

March: 28th. +1

Thanos' win rate in April sits dead last. Just like on my personal list of interesting characters in Marvel. Corvus had a decent month but overall Black Order sits in last place.

March: 27th. -1

Rated Singels Events (RSE)

Apoc and his Servants of the Apocalypse reign supreme in RSE, too.

March: 1st. Same.

With in incredible win rates for all three leaders Inhumans take the second place.

March: 9th. +7

Web Warriors rival SotA in games played and almost in win rate, ending in a top 3 spot.

March: 6th. +3

While not rivaling the top 3s play rate Wakanda had a strong month in RSE, too.

March: 2nd. -4

If we do believe that 14 games were played leaderless for A-Force She-Hulk would top Apocalypse (but not Black Bolt). Not something many people would've expected before DeLucas Adepticon run.

March: 25th. +20

In RSE it is very much still Namor who runs the show for SHIELD, making up for Fury's and Tony's below 50% months and carry the Affiliation to 6th.

March: 3rd. -3

Dark Dimension is not a faction you'd expect being as good as it was in RSE but with expected low play rate.

March: 9th. +2

In RSE Blades numbers can swallow Elsa's subpar performance and still make top 8 for the Midnight Sons

March: 13th. +5

Leading in games played, also in RSE, are the Avengers who also make top 10.

March: 10th. +1

Almost 100 games played and a 51% win rate sees the Thralls of Dracula complete the top 10.

March: 16th. +6

Though making up only a small fraction of the games Shadowland Daredevil makes up for MODOKs poor performance while Kingpin is solid as always for the Criminal Syndicate

March: 4th. -7

Convocation was a perfect 50/50. Things can only look up for them with the coming update(s?).

March: 7th. -5

Legion of the Lost are also close to 100 games and very close to being 50%.

March: 24th. +9

Low play rate for Weapon X but also very close to being 50/50.

March: 17th. +3

170 RSE games and a top tier win rate for Magneto shows Brotherhood of Mutants aren't as dead as we thought at the beginning of the year. Mystique is struggling still dragging down the overall numbers (but theres a lot of games where we don't know the leader).

March: 19th. +4

Spider-Foes see a decent number of games played and just barely missed 50%.

March: 21st. +5

Big numbers in games played and positive or at least even records for every leader for Asgard but something doesn't quite add up here as the overall percentage is just below 50%.

March: 15th. -2

Surprisingly high numbers in games played for Doctor Strange Defenders, though it once again didn't work out especially well. Daredevil fared better but not well enough to keep the Affiliation above 50% overall.

March: 20th. +2

Sin and OG Red Skull drag down the stats for Cabal who had a good RSE month from both Master of the World and Malekith.

March: 11th. -8

Hellfire Club boosts the lowest overall play rate in RSE in April and missed the 50/50 by one game.

March: 5th. -15

Hydra was quite far from reaching 50% with all three leaders having negative records for the month.

March: 18th. -3

Winter Guard has more games and did better than I would've expected in RSE this month.

March: 28th. +6

Sentinels beat out the X-Men. What more could they ever ask for?

March: 27th. +4

A month to forget for the X-Men

March: 13th. -11

Very high numbers in games played but not a great win rate for the Guardians of the Galaxy (at least I won my only RSE game in April with them). They do seem to struggle to find their way in the overall faster scoring new rotation

March: 14th. -11

At this point it's no surprise to see X-Force so far down below but I gave really no idea what could help them get out of there.

March: 23rd. -3

Let's hope there are some releases planned that we don't yet know about otherwise you could honestly just erase New Mutants from the Affiliation list for now.

March: 26th. -1

As a known Thanos hater I do kind of enjoy seeing Black Order dead last but 35% win rate is far from where I want to see any affiliation.

March: 22nd. -6

That's it for today.

Check out my Affiliation Overviews for more details about each affiliation.

Affiliation Overview: Web Warriors

Why should you play the affiliation  Peter Parker is the single most popular character in the world. Miles and Gwen share between them the focus of the two best superhero movies of all time and are extremely popular characters in their own rights.  On the table Web Warriors are a supreme objective play team building off of their core of incredible 3 threats. They are big enough nowadays to offer different approaches too though.  How to start the affiliation  Untypically I don't think getting the affiliation pack is always the best way to start here. While Miles and Gwen are absolute core models to the affiliation, 4 threat Peter Parker will very rarely (if ever) see the table and Venom is decent but really up to personal taste. And seeing how the only real benefit of the affiliation pack is getting the additional Peter for free you can really decide if that's worth it for you. If you own core set 1 you already have the character and if you own core set 2 you h...

Battlefield roles for every MCP character (A-C)

First Up thanks to fellow MCP Redditor and Painting Guides Blogger SourImplant for the idea! Take a look at their great guides here .  We will look at every character in the game (starting with A-C today) and give them a rating of 1(bad) to 5 (great) at these categories:  Speed :  How fast does the character move, including any superpowers that support it. Durability :  How well can the character survive enemy attacks. This includes healthpool, defensive stats but also superpowers like Damage reduction or Healing Factor or the turning off of enemy crits.  Damage output :  This contains both attacks but also superpower throws, especially bigger terrain throws. It also takes attack types and stuff like Rapid Fire and Beams into account.  Range :  At what Range can the character operate at? This will not always take the characters longest range attack but might find the middle on those and try to show where they want to operate at realisticall...

Adepticon 2025 Reveals evaluated

The big AMG Adepticon Panel has come and gone and I've had some time to digest everything and will give my opinions and of course I'll compare the reveals with my predictions.  (As always click on the images to enlarge them) Gambit has gotten a much needed update:  His Gainer lost a dice but changed to Energy.  His Spender has the trigger changed to a wild Stun.  He can now walk in any direction with his reactive superpower instead of just away from the character that attacked him.  He lost the superpower to add dice to his attacks.  He has gained an incredible innate superpower that lets him always count wilds double while attacking, defending and dodging. Very thematically fitting and cool.  Is that enough? Yeah I think so. He's kind of a 3 threat slot machine now where his wilds mean so much, that rerolls (offensively and defensively) are fantastic with him. His TTC Dark Past remains the strongest argument to play him still though which is wh...
