Predicting what the new Sentinels stat cards will look like

I'm super excited for the new and old Sentinels models to come out. I have the Affiliation Pack on pre order already, as the originally released boxes are absolutely impossible to get for an even semi sensible price tag in Germany. The combined packs price tag is more than fair.

As a fun little exercise I'm going to predict what I think the four new members of the Affiliation will look like (not the full stat cards just some key parts):

1. Prime Sentinels (yeah that's not going to be confusing naming at all...) - 3 Threat

These are already confirmed to be 3 threats you can take two off. Which leads me to believe they won't be super competitive outside of the Affiliation. They could go down two roads here: make them slow and tanky (just like the MK4s but obviously way smaller) or make them fast and relatively easy to remove from the board. I think the latter would be better for the Affiliation but also more dangerous for the overall state of the game.

2. Omega Sentinel - 4 Threat

My gut says that the model out of the new three characters that is probably the least interesting to many players will end up seeing the table the most. I think she will be a reliable 4 threat option for the faction to not have to always rely on a MK4 or to support it with a faster, less tanky option. She'll have a long range gun and maybe a support superpower of some kind?

We also got confirmation that she has head options.

3. Bastion - 5 threat (leader)

Bastion has been confirmed to have a new Leadership for the Sentinels and I think it's going to have something to do with enhancing your own models. I could imagine something like pay 2 power for an additional attack die in the next Attack action or something like that. Or maybe more akin to Killmonger, Usurpers and Star-Lords leaderships where you hand out three enhancement tokens per round.

4. Nimrod - 7 Threat

Nimrod will be a Kaiju with good attacks and loads of stamina but most importantly I think he will have a very unique superpower. In the same way that Adam Warlock has Recalibration Matrix on his stat card, Nimrod will have the effect of Shhh... / No More Mutants as a reactive superpower.

(Probably shorter Range, like Range 3, for Nimrod)

What do you think?

No matter how wrong (or right) my predictions end up being I'm absolutely stoked about these new models and can't wait to get them on the painting desk and playing table.

Cheers from Germany 🍻

Affiliation Overview: Spider-Foes (2026 update)

Why should you play the affiliation  Are you a somewhat of a scientist yourself? Do you like crushing arachnids? Do you love making overly complicated plans and see them ruined by a teenager?  Spider-Foes are a super fun faction, which boosts the best looking line of miniatures in the game and a very fun and unique play style with tricks and traps.  How to start the affiliation  As long as it's available you absolutely start with the Spider-Foes Starter set. It's the so gle best deal in MCP and probably all of tabletop wargaming.  The only characters you're missing out of the affiliation after that are:  Kingpin (available in the Criminal Syndicate Affiliation pack, which is a good additional pick up after the starter set)  Doctor Octopus (available in the Spider-Foes Affiliation Pack or Rivals Panel)  Doc Ock, Sinister Scientist (available in the Earth Mightiest Core Set, a good additional pick up if you need terrain) Venom (currently de f...

Affiliation Overview: Web Warriors

Why should you play the affiliation  Peter Parker is the single most popular character in the world. Miles and Gwen share between them the focus of the two best superhero movies of all time and are extremely popular characters in their own rights.  On the table Web Warriors are a supreme objective play team building off of their core of incredible 3 threats. They are big enough nowadays to offer different approaches too though.  How to start the affiliation  Untypically I don't think getting the affiliation pack is always the best way to start here. While Miles and Gwen are absolute core models to the affiliation, 4 threat Peter Parker will very rarely (if ever) see the table and Venom is decent but really up to personal taste. And seeing how the only real benefit of the affiliation pack is getting the additional Peter for free you can really decide if that's worth it for you. If you own core set 1 you already have the character and if you own core set ...

Ministravaganza 25 reactions

Wow Ministravaganza 25 did a lot in just 35 mins of MCP this year. Let's dive right in and see if my predictions were even close to correct:  1. Roadmap We're immediately starting out with a banger here. Everything on Iron Lads card is just very good. His builder has a "for every wild" trigger with slow and stun which are both great, his Gainer can push, his Spender can automatically reroll any number of dice, he can remove a damage or special condition for a single power, has a size 2 terrain throw and can reroll attackers dice (just for himself but still). He's an extremely well rounded 3 threat.  A.  The first ever 3 threat on a 65mm base! And oh my what a 3 threat that is. A good builder that can choose to be physical or energy is followed by a great spender that has a throw and an extract steal (not just drop but actually stealing) trigger, as well has a place, rerolls and damage reduction. He is confirmed to be a member of the Criminal Syndicate and will ...
