Operation Zero Tolerance Crisis Cards and Challenger Rotation revealed

After leaks seen on Reddit and a premature article on Goonhammer already spoiled all the crisis cards in the Operation Zero Tolerance Crisis Pack AMG gave them to us in the Panel to Play and topped it off with showing us what the Challenger Rotation will be once it releases (June 12th).

Let's take a look at every new crisis and what goes into an out of the rotation in June. The good news first: all 10 Crisis Cards in Operation Zero Tolerance will be in the rotation.

Not really new since we have it since Ministravaganza 25 but it will be the first time we can have it on an official physical copy. Experiences have been very mixed with Jailbreak. It has a feels bad mechanic where you might actively hinder your own chances to win when you remind your opponent to not go into the "drop zone" or kind of Gotcha them when you don't.

A triple midline Source Extract appears to be extremely fighty but it does balance that out by giving the carrier a defense reroll.

I like this one a lot. Suggested short name: Evidence

Here we have a midtable scrum that even adds an attack die for attacks in range 2. This will probably be most attrition teams (type 3 and 4) first pick for extracts in the new rotation. Gonna be interesting if it really helps them or if it will be somewhat of a trap like Hammers.

Suggested short name: Schematics

This crisis looks very complicated and prone to being played wrong but very interesting in design nonetheless. You simply can't pick up an extract in your first turn as you need a friend to contest it before you can even interact and have to have a friend nearby to not drop it at the end of the Activation. Also insured against Black Cat and (the much cooler) Enchantress just taking the Supplies and ignoring pick up rules that way.
Importantly they aren't Source Extracts so these will move around the board a lot more.

Suggested short name: Supplies

The one we got shown at Adepticon. Probably my favorite map layout. But no special rules (except being a Source Extract of course) for it.

Suggested short name: Surprise Assault

Lockdown is the secure we already have since Adepticon. Having played it a few times now I'm not the biggest fan of the random turn off of the secure.

The only Zone Secure in the game yet and it's a new Energy Pay to Flip (Klaw fans rejoice!) and it rewards an additional VP if you can get enemy characters in the Arc of two or more of them you control. Sounds like a lot of fun but prone to discussion and the token being moved accidentally. Good Blue-Tec is going to be your friend here.

Suggested short name: Weapon Facility (please don't call it X-Men...)

Will Shick specifically told us to stop using marked mats (which is not even a thing in Europe anyway) and here's a wild new map layout proving that. I have not measured it out but I'm pretty sure you have to secure the two Points of Interest directly across from another to gain the additional VP. I'm pretty sure the diagonal one does work two too.

Suggested short name: Overload

Speaking of crazy new map layouts. This is the first none symmetrical crisis to my knowledge. It seems close to the middle and fighty but the high threat and the ability to boost your friends defensive roll counter act that a bit. Seems very interesting and very important to pick the right board edge for.

Suggested short name: Shelter

The one we saw at Adepticon. Another interesting new map layout and this time helping the attacker clear off the secure by giving an additional attack die once per turn if the defender is in Range 2 of a Point of Interest.

Suggested short name: Assault Ships

And now for the new rotation:

All Extracts that you can hold multiple off leave the Challenger Rotation and many of the skewy ones also take their leave.
Many expected the new Rotation to be very slow and attrition focused but with Legacy Virus, Montessi Formular, Major Fisk, M'Kraan Crystals and Deadline to Destruction gone it won't be as easy to get a full roster of favourable crisis cards for that.
But type 1 and 2 scenario teams also loose some of the extremes in Riots, Cosmic Invasion, and maybe less so Terrigen Cannisters and Cubes.
Also Strike Team from War of Kings has made it in this time around which is nice to see.

I'm very excited for the news and an looking forward to getting my hands on the crisis pack. Sadly I won't be able to attend the first German tournament after the rotation goes live but it will be interesting to see where everybody will land for their rosters.

That's it for today.

Affiliation Overview: Web Warriors

Why should you play the affiliation  Peter Parker is the single most popular character in the world. Miles and Gwen share between them the focus of the two best superhero movies of all time and are extremely popular characters in their own rights.  On the table Web Warriors are a supreme objective play team building off of their core of incredible 3 threats. They are big enough nowadays to offer different approaches too though.  How to start the affiliation  Untypically I don't think getting the affiliation pack is always the best way to start here. While Miles and Gwen are absolute core models to the affiliation, 4 threat Peter Parker will very rarely (if ever) see the table and Venom is decent but really up to personal taste. And seeing how the only real benefit of the affiliation pack is getting the additional Peter for free you can really decide if that's worth it for you. If you own core set 1 you already have the character and if you own core set ...

Affiliation Overview: Spider-Foes (2026 update)

Why should you play the affiliation  Are you a somewhat of a scientist yourself? Do you like crushing arachnids? Do you love making overly complicated plans and see them ruined by a teenager?  Spider-Foes are a super fun faction, which boosts the best looking line of miniatures in the game and a very fun and unique play style with tricks and traps.  How to start the affiliation  As long as it's available you absolutely start with the Spider-Foes Starter set. It's the so gle best deal in MCP and probably all of tabletop wargaming.  The only characters you're missing out of the affiliation after that are:  Kingpin (available in the Criminal Syndicate Affiliation pack, which is a good additional pick up after the starter set)  Doctor Octopus (available in the Spider-Foes Affiliation Pack or Rivals Panel)  Doc Ock, Sinister Scientist (available in the Earth Mightiest Core Set, a good additional pick up if you need terrain) Venom (currently de f...

Affiliation Overview: Defenders (updated)

Why should you play the affiliation  Defenders are a giant affiliation containing both the more mystic focused Defenders of Doctor Strange and also the Marvel Knights which made up the Netflix show Defenders.  On the board Defenders have a super deep roster with a tonne of great characters and some variety in play style.  How to start the affiliation Update: In Q2 2025 AMG releases the Defenders affiliation pack which uniquely comes with five models in Doctor Strange, Wong, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. You have to pick this pack up first and absolutely should.  After that I would first pick up Shang-Chi and Silver Sable followed by Hulk and then Namor and Black Panther, Chosen of Bast. You have your core very much there. The affiliation is very deep and has a lot of good characters but with those mentioned you have your probably most used models in hand already. Also all of the affiliated TTCs. Just note that Pentagrams of Falafel (let me have fun with t...
